Twyne is a private app built for exactly two people in a relationship. Not a group chat, not a social network — a closed, intimate space where a couple can talk, connect, and grow closer, away from the noise of every other app on their phone.

By using Twyne, you agree to these Terms of Use. Twyne is a private communication platform for couples, built and operated by Cantrel Technologies.

1. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use Twyne. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account
Your invite code is your login, and your PIN secures it. Each account is protected by individual, per-user authentication — your session is yours alone and cannot be accessed by other users. Keep your invite code and PIN safe; you are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use
Twyne is for personal, private communication between two consenting adults. You may not use Twyne to harass, abuse, or threaten another person, or to share illegal content.

4. Content
You own the content you share on Twyne. By using the platform you grant Cantrel Technologies a limited licence to store and deliver that content to your partner. Your messages and media are protected so that only you and your partner can access them. We do not view or share your messages.

5. Payments
Paid plans are billed per cycle (monthly or annually): Spark, Flame, and Flame Couple — a shared plan where one payment covers both partners. If you purchase Flame Couple, your linked partner receives the same access for as long as you remain paired; if you unpair, your partner's shared access ends and reverts to Free, while your own paid plan continues for the period you paid for. Payments are processed securely via Paystack and crypto verification. We never store card numbers. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us within 7 days of charge.

6. Privacy
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer
Twyne is provided "as is". We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service.

Cantrel Technologies ("we", "us") built Twyne as a private couples communication app. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Your name, gender, and optional profile photo
• Your optional recovery email address
• Messages and media you send to your partner
• Secure authentication credentials that keep your account private to you
• A notification token (only if you enable notifications) so we can alert you to messages, pulses, and calls
• Payment confirmation data (we never store card numbers)

What we do not collect

• Your PIN (stored as a one-way hash only)
• Your location
• Any data about your device beyond what the browser provides

How we use your data
Solely to operate Twyne — to deliver messages, manage your account, send notifications you've enabled, connect your calls, and process payments. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Security
Every account is protected by individual, per-user authentication. Your private space — messages, pulses, timeline and more — is isolated so that only you and your partner can access it. We use industry-standard security rules at the database level to enforce this.

Data storage
Data is stored securely via Supabase (hosted on AWS). Messages are not end-to-end encrypted at this time — we recommend not sharing highly sensitive information.

Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. All your data is permanently removed.
